Pete and I met in 1998 and got married in September 2000. Charlie was born in May 2001 and Zara in September 2002.

Whilst on holiday in Florida in 2004, I read an article about properties in France and in July 2004 we made our first visit to France looking for a property as a holiday home. We made several visits to France in search of that perfect location and property and finally in October 2005 we discovered 'Le Vignaud'. Things had changed over the months whilst we were house hunting and the plan now was to live in France. We bought Le Vignaud in April 2006 but it wasn't until September 2007, when we sold our home in the UK that we could move to France to live.

I continue to run my travel agency franchise as a Travel Counsellor from France, Pete has renovated part of the farmhouse into a self-contained 'gite' (cottage) which we have been renting out since July 2010 as holiday accommodation, mainly to British visitors but also, Australians, Germans, French, and Dutch.

Charlie and Zara are at French schools and are doing extremely well. Both are bi-lingual and put Pete and I to shame as we are a long way from being fluent in French.
